Horses are a family business for the Castillo’s. Estevan, Malaika, and Luke work to produce versatile, user-friendly horses through their program. We can’t imagine a life without horses in it and are blessed to work together every day. Somedays we spend fine tuning in the arena or roping.. other days we get to ride outside in all kinds of terrain to expose the horses to as much as possible. Estevan and Malaika have both always been obsessed with horses and driven to become better trainers and have worked to combine the horsemanship lessons from our different backgrounds to improve our program.

Estevan is an elite roper and has competed professionally at team ropings across the US. He loves every day of being a cowboy. He and Luke enjoy taking hunting trips with the horses every year and spending as much time outside the arena as possible.

While growing up on a ranch, Malaika competed at hunter/jumper shows across the southwest and obtained an education working for trainers she admired. Later she took that foundation and turned to running barrels, team roping and showing ranch horses. She just never outgrew the horse crazy phase of life.

Luke has grown up with horses being a central part of his life and really enjoyed stepping in the competition arena at horse shows and rodeos over the past year. He’s enjoyed success riding some of the horses that we’ve offered for sale thru our program – he won an all around buckle at his first horse show and has recently added few team roping buckles to keep it company.

We all compete as often as possible at various events, any given weekend might find us at a rodeo, team roping, barrel race or horse show. This allows us to season our horses while enjoying pursuing our passions. We take pride in the horses we offer to the public.
